Pinch Me

Somedays I just can't believe this is my life.  This world of pink and bows and dollies and make-believe and fairies just keeps getting bigger and bigger as the little girls grow.  Today Sweet Pea and I went to spend the afternoon babysitting Bean.  As soon as we walked into the house, Bean called to us from upstairs.  We went into her room and found her wearing a sparkly purple dress-up dress, feathered tiara, and green glittery fairy wings.

"Welcome to Fairy World!" she announced from within a pile of baby dolls and their clothes.  "Want some wings, Sweet Pea?  I'll go get you some.  Taylor, can you be the mama fairy and I'll be the baby fairy?  No, wait, you be the evil witch and I'll be the mama and Sweet Pea is the baby."

Except Sweet Pea wouldn't wear the wings, so I got to be the mama after all.  Then Sweet Pea did want the wings, after she watched us "fly" in them, so then she got to be the baby and I'm not sure who I was.  Then I told Bean that Sweet Pea was feeling a little sick, and probably wouldn't want to play very much.

"She's sick?  Oh no!" Bean furrowed her brow.  "I'll get my doctor bag and my makeup bag."

Got it, girlfriend.  She dosed Sweet Pea up with shots of "love mix" and I guess Sweet Pea is on the mend, although apparently pretend shots of love mix don't bring down real fevers.  Too bad.

After we played we watched some of The Fox and the Hound before we realized the rain had cleared.  Hubby took sick little Sweet Pea home, but Bean and I went out to play in the puddles and pet the pony.

Is there anything better than a fairy who believes she can fly?

Tiara failure.  

 Am I dreaming?  Is this really my life?
