Cookies, Round Two

We baked a couple of practice batches of cookies with our friend Jessey on Saturday.  Good thing they were practice batched, because they did not turn out so great.

FYI:  That "brownulated" sugar you might have seen on the shelves at the grocery store?  The pourable brown sugar?  Yeah, don't use it for cookies.  Cookies need all of that moisture in brown sugar.


Sweet Pea loved baking with us, mainly because knows exactly what good things come out of mixers and what is in those giant yellow Nestle bags.

My child wears un-matching jammies when we need to do laundry.
