This kiddo has been rocking and army-crawling like crazy, but she just can't seem to get forward!

Since this whole moving around thing had her rolling into our tv cords, we scored a new console table off craigslist to solve the problem. Or so we thought. You see, she can still roll under the bugger. Awesome.

Clearly, this is super fun and hilarious to her. I, for one, am thrilled by the proximity of that giant, chock-full-of-voltage cord right by her toes. So, anyone have some ideas? I know that I could put up something to block her, but I'd kind of like it to still look decent. I'm playing around with the possibility of chicken wire. It would fit with my farm-housey theme. In, you know, my townhouse.
Honestly, this is prob just a very short phase ... once she starts crawling and gets a little bigger, she won't fit under there and prob won't have much interest in it. As long as the outlets are covered, she'll be fine. You could tack the cord in place at the baseboard but it's prob not necessary unless she starts pulling on it and/or chewing on it. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tricia. If you want, you could put a few pretty throw pillows (or floor pillows--whatever fits) under there until she grows out of this phase...just to block her from venturing too far underneath. She's awfully cute!
