Pain Nai-ews

I made a mothering mistake.

I painted my toes in front of my almost-two-year-old.

And now she is hooked.  Completely obsessed.  She wants hers painted 24/7.

But I am an opportunist, and so we've decided to take advantage of the situation.  Since she's already asking nearly every day for me to paint her nails (Mama?  Pain nai-ews!) I figured we might as well use the opportunity to finally learn her colors.  Colors haven't seem to come as easily to her as other milestones, so it's a great way to practice.

I took her to the store and let her choose some colors.

We talk about the colors and choose one (or two) to paint her toes with.  Then we compare our toes with all sorts of other colored items throughout the day.

Pretty sure I was made to mother girls.

  1. I hate to admit this but Justin has watched me paint my toes several times and requests me to paint his too. I explain to him each time that guys don't paint their nails. He kind of gets it but still looks at me like, so what?! And Chloe likes to look at all the colors. Pretty soon we can have a mother and daughter nail session ;)
