My mom has been trying to help my niece understand the meaning of family and the concept of being "related." Here's how it's going:
Mom: Baby, you look so much like your Aunt Taylor. Did you know that?
Niece: Yeah!
Mom: You did?
Niece: Yeah!
Mom: Do you know why that is?
Niece: Yeah!
Mom: Why?
*Assuming niece will say something about us being in the same family."
Niece: ....Be-tuz we're both wearin' bottoms!
I promise that we were all wearing bottoms...
